Wall in, boards and ties out. SANS 10164-1 table 7 · SANS 10400-K
The wall
m²
m²
Deducted from the board count AND the field ties.
m
Both jambs of every opening: 2 × height, added up. Extra ties go here — see below.
m
The build-up
This changes the tie count more than anything else on this page.
Each extra board adds 35 mm: its knob plugs into the socket behind the one above.

These R-values are estimates. They are derived the same way the LiteCel
brochure derives its own — from the declared grade, at λ ≈ 0,036 W/m·K — and no guarded-hot-box
test exists for this board. Confirm with Technopol before relying on them in a SANS 10400-XA
submission.
This is a take-off, not a design. Tie type, spacing, embedment, material and
corrosion protection for any particular wall remain the designer's responsibility — SANS 28
appendix B puts the duty to specify on the purchaser. Coastal: within 30 km of the coast SANS
10400-K 4.2.1.4 calls for galvanising, not stainless; stainless is required only in tidal splash
zones.
