Compatible adhesives, basecoats and sealants for EPS systems.

Technopol's Adhesives & Sealants line is a two-product EPS-bonding accessory range: DB Acrylic Sealant — a one-part, white, paintable acrylic-dispersion sealant used to fix EPS cornices and seal joints — and PU6, a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane (MDI) adhesive for laminating polystyrene sandwich panels; neither is an insulation product, so no λ/R/U, density-grade or compressive-strength ratings apply.
| Property | Value | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Product build-up | DB Acrylic Sealant (one-part white acrylic dispersion, cures to soft plastic-elastic rubber) + PU6 (two-part solvent-free polyurethane / MDI adhesive) | — |
| PU6 bond tensile strength | 8–10 MPa (at 25 °C) | — |
| PU6 component density (mass per litre, liquid) | Part A 1.62; Part B 1.23 kg/L | — |
| PU6 service temperature / heat resistance | −40 to +50 service; bond heat-resistant to 148 short-term; stays flexible to −45 °C | — |
| PU6 mixing ratio & spread rate | 6:1 by weight (4.5:1 by volume); apply 300–400 g/m² to one bonding surface | — |
| PU6 pot life & cure | Pot life 20–30 min (20 °C, 50% RH); clamp within 20 min for min. 4 h; full cure 7 days at 25 °C | — |
| Reaction-to-fire / fire-resistance class | None — no Euroclass or REI rating of its own; mixed PU6 rated non-combustible / non-hazardous for shipping only | — |
| Pack sizes & coverage | PU6 combination packs 6 / 36 / 300 kg; DB 280 ml cartridge & 5 kg pail (5 kg ≈ 50 m / 20 cornice lengths) | — |
| Applicable product standard / handling | None cited (no SANS/EN). PU6 Part B is an MDI isocyanate — GHS 'Danger', respiratory & skin sensitiser (follow SDS) | GHS |
PU6 density figures are liquid-component mass per litre (uncured); no cured-solid density is published. PU6 bond tensile strength 8–10 MPa is quoted from the PU6 manufacturer's technical datasheet at 25 °C; no independent lab test report number substantiates it. Fire: neither product carries a reaction-to-fire (Euroclass) or fire-resistance (REI) classification. 'Non-combustible / non-hazardous' applies to the mixed PU6 adhesive for shipping classification only; the corpus FireTestresults reports cover EPS boards/panels, not the adhesives. DB pail net weight: the current published brochure states 5 kg; an older version lists 4 kg — the 5 kg value is used here. PU6 Part B is a diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI, 'Cosmonate M-200'); follow the SDS handling precautions (isocyanate — harmful by inhalation, potential skin/respiratory sensitiser).

Labels are defined on our data promise; every source report is on the test-report register.
A material specified for the wrong job fails you, then us. We would rather lose the order.
No project on the public register is tagged to this application yet. Ask us for references — we will send the ones that match your building type.
Send us the drawings. We will size it, detail it and quote it.
We release technical documentation to named engineers and specifiers so we can support you properly on the project. One entry unlocks everything.
