Technopol SA is a leading manufacturer of expanded polystyrene under the LiteCel® brand. Our products are made to meet SANS 10400-XA, and we keep innovating — not least through the FRCel® fire-retardant range. We build the company on sustainability, on service, and on insulation that performs.
Technopol SA (Pty) Ltd is a privately held South African company at 9 Wright Road, Nuffield, Springs. We manufacture expanded polystyrene and the systems built from it: insulated panels, insulated masonry, cladding, cavity and under-slab insulation, geofoam, cornices and mouldings — from three factories totalling roughly 18 000 m².
We make the material ourselves, which is why we can cut, mould and mill it to a drawing rather than to a catalogue.
Each brand covers a different part of an energy-efficient building — from the raw insulation board through to composite panels, cladding and coating systems.
The foundation material across the entire Technopol range: lightweight, durable expanded polystyrene, used in construction for its thermal, acoustic and moisture-resistant properties.
Technopol's fire-retardant grade of expanded polystyrene, and the core of the LiteSpan panel and the Terraco EIFS system. It carries a reaction-to-fire classification of B-s1,d0 to SANS 53501-1 — a material classification, not a fire-resistance rating.
Agrément-certified building blocks made from recycled EPS and eco-friendly concrete, giving insulated masonry that meets SANS 10400-XA. Certificate 2020/609 covers the LiteCore Building System as a non-load-bearing system.
Composite roof, ceiling and wall panels: Chromadek® steel skins factory-laminated to an FRCel® EPS core, with Stone Wool and PIR cores available. Roof, insulation and finished ceiling in a single element.
Steel cladding in IBR, corrugated, ClipClad, DutchClad, NuClad and standing-seam profiles, over external continuous insulation. Energy efficiency and durability for residential, agricultural and commercial work.
