Any question about your information, or any request under this notice, goes to info@technopol.co.za, marked for the Information Officer.
You do not have to identify yourself to read this site. You give us information in three places, and that is all:
Alongside a download or a quote we also record the country, region, city and network operator derived from your connection, so the enquiry reaches the right person. We do not store your IP address — only the location derived from it, and then it is discarded.
To send you the document you asked for, and to follow up about that request — did it arrive, do you need the CAD details, can we size it for your job. You asked us for something. Answering you is not marketing, and we will do it.
We will not add you to anything else unless you tick the box. Articles, technical updates, anything broadcast — that is direct marketing, and under section 69 of POPIA we may not send it to you without your consent. So we ask, in a box that is not ticked for you, and if you leave it empty you still get the document. A consent you had to give in order to receive something is not a consent, and we will not pretend otherwise.
When you do tick it, we record what you consented to, in the exact words you saw, and the moment you did. That record is yours to inspect on request.
Every marketing email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe. It works immediately, and we do not ask you why. You may also just reply to any email, or write to info@technopol.co.za.
Withdrawing consent for marketing does not stop us answering you. Ask us a technical question and we will still reply.
Nobody. We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not hand them to a third party for their own marketing.
We use ordinary tools to run a business — email, a spreadsheet, a website host. Those providers process your information on our instruction only, and may not use it for anything of their own.
For as long as you might still reasonably want us to support the project, and no longer. After three years without contact, we delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
At any time, free of charge, you may:
Write to info@technopol.co.za.
Tell us first — we would rather fix it than have it explained to us. But you are entitled to go straight to the regulator and you do not need our permission:

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe. We will not dress that up as a guarantee, because nobody can honestly give one. But if your information is ever compromised, we will tell you, and we will tell the Regulator, as POPIA requires.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your own browser remembers, on your own machine, that you have already given your details, so that we do not ask you twice. That is the whole of it, and it never leaves your device.

We release technical documentation to named engineers and specifiers so we can support you properly on the project. One entry unlocks everything.
We will email you this document, and we may follow up about it. We will not add you to anything else unless you tick the box. We do not share or sell your details. How we handle your information.
